This highly collectable model is the extremely hard to get hold of Hornby Railways R327 model of the Transrail Class 37 diesel locomotive. The model is in mint factory fresh condition and has been shelf stored since new. This rarely available Co-Co locomotive is finished in Transrail 3-tone grey livery. With the correct, yellow warning panel ends, it is absolutely stunning. Only available for a one year period from 1996 and never released, this item was constructed in the modern manner. This locomotive, numbered 37424 is just as good as the day it was first made and it would be impossible to obtain a better condition item. We removed the model from the box for the digital scan and the model has all detailing exactly as it should be. Glazes windows, wired handrails and large black oval buffers are just 3 of the instantly recognizable features of the model. The locomotive is just a beautifully made evocative example. The original box is in a bright, unfaded, sharp and fully intact condition. It only has minimal surface scuffs. The right hand box end flap has the original red label with the correct model number and description. Inside the box, the locomotive is protected in a white moulded polystyrene surround. Remaining with the item is a copy of the Hornby maintenance and instructions sheet for the model.
This item predates digital control but should be an easy conversion to be DCC ready with the correct Hornby chip.
As all of our items are collectables and may have been stored for a long time, we would recommend that if the model is to be run, a light lubrication and dust removal would be appropriate ( where applicable ).
