Hornby R2230 LMS Duchess Class Duchess of Buccleugh steam locomotive
This is the 2002 R2230 Hornby model of the LMS London Midland Scottish region Duchess Class 4-6-2 steam locomotive Duchess of Buccleugh. It is finished in the LMS crimson livery with gold lettering and hydraulic buffers. It is the completely retooled highly detailed model and is factory fitted with the new 5 pole skew wound motor. It features factory fitted wired handrails and double chimney. This is a locomotive drive locomotive with additional pick ups on the tender wheels for fine smooth running. The RN is 6230. The model is in its original Hornby box with the polystyrene protective surround, super detail pack, full length full colour protective display card and original instructions. The models are in mint, unrun, condition and the box is correctly labelled. This rare model just predates DCC but with a little skill, should be an easy conversion with the right Hornby chip.
