Hornby Digital Command set
This is the now inexplicably discontinued Hornby DCC Digital Command set that is absolutely perfect for anyone wishing to make a start in digital modelling and wants everything together in one box to allow them to do it. The whole set is supplied in the original large Hornby red carton type box with drawers and trays for all of the items. The set comprises the DCC chipped pacific Merchant Navy class steam locomotive Clan Line ( chipped to channel 8 ) and 3 matching Pullman coaches with lights. These are named Minerva, Cygnus and Ibis. All 4 models are extremely well detailed and represent the pinnacle of Hornby modelling to date. The lights can even be on when the whole train is at a stop in the station as the lights can be operated from a different channel on the ‘Select’ operating console. Just 2 wires connect the ‘Select’ console to the whole layout model and sufficient track is provided to build 2 good size ovals with points, crossovers and sidings. The points are pre wired for DCC so that any extra DCC chipped locomotives can also be operated from the same console. The set is in its original Hornby red box with all trays, protective pieces, drawers, instruction booklet, power supply items, track and paperwork. The models are in near mint, unrun, condition and the box has the Digital Command sticker on the lid. This is a very heavy item and we will not send it abroad so if you are not in the UK please do not buy it.
