This rarely available locomotive is finished in the instantly recognizable blue livery under a matching blue roof. It is extremely well factory detailed and nearly 30cm long. Complete with the yellow warning panel ends, full glazing & rectangular buffers, it is absolutely stunning. This locomotive, numbered 50018, is just as good as the day it was first made and it would be impossible to obtain a better condition item. We removed the model from the box for the digital scan and the model has all detailing exactly as it should be. As well as being extremely heavy, the model is just a beautifully made evocative item. It has been run to ensure it works but the wheel flanges are still deep and the model is DCC ready. The original Hornby box is in a bright, sharp, unfaded and fully intact, mint condition. The box is correctly labelled for the contents it protects. Inside the box, all of the original and undamaged comprehensive protective packaging remains in place. The whole box is then protected by a full colour outer sleeve. The original Hornby instructions numbered R23484803 also remain with this model. This model is just as good and complete as you could ever hope to obtain and is arguably the finest quality diesel model that Hornby has ever produced.
As all of our items are collectables and may have been stored for a long time, we would recommend that if the model is to be run, a light lubrication and dust removal would be appropriate ( where applicable ).
