Bachmann Dwight D Eisenhower A4 Limited Edition Quad Set-Rare & Unique
This group of 4 individual A4 class items by Bachmann is very rare and one model per year was released over a 4 year period from 1995. To obtain all 4 was hard enough but to have the 4 different models and each one to have the same number on the certificate and cab floor of each model, is incredibly difficult indeed. They are therefore here to be sold as a complete and unique set. However if we receive email enquiries from interested parties who between them require individual models from the 4 piece set that will allow us to sell all 4 simultaneously, we will break the set to accommodate everyone’s requirements. We have therefore shown all 4 models with their own individual descriptions but as stressed, they are ideally here to go as a complete set of 4. Bachmann 31953 BR ex LNER Class A4 Dwight D Eisenhower locomotive
This is the incredibly rare and hardly ever seen Bachmann 31953 model of the BR ex LNER, 4-6-2 Class A4 steam locomotive Dwight D Eisenhower. This item was only available for 1 year in 1995 and just 250 were made for worldwide distribution. It is being offered as an individual item but the other 3 variants that make up the complete 4 locomotive certificated set, are also available from us at this time. This model is finished in the BR green livery with double chimney, orange boiler bands, etched nameplates and wired handrails. The motor is mounted in the locomotive and the 8-wheel tender is the none corridor version with the BR icon on each side. The running number is 60008 and the locomotive has the Limited Edition certificate number of 238 engraved on a small polished copper plate under the cab floor. The model is in mint, unused, factory fresh condition. All of these models were exclusively destined for the US market so they very rarely become available in the UK. It is supplied in its original Bachmann wooden presentation box with a fully lined protective polystyrene foam interior. The original maintenance instructions, etched name plate packet, driver/fireman figurines and the Limited Edition certificate of 238 out of 250 made all remain with this item. The model predates DCC but should be an easy conversion with the correct Bachmann chip.

This model is finished in the BR express blue livery with single chimney, red spoked wheels and wired handrails. The motor is mounted in the locomotive and the 8-wheel tender is the corridor version with the LNER designation on each side. The running number is 4496 and the locomotive has the Limited Edition certificate number of 238 engraved on a small polished copper plate under the cab floor.
