Hornby R319 DCC Ready BR Class 47 The Queen Mother Special Edition

This highly collectable model is the extremely hard to get hold of Hornby Railways R319 Special Limited Edition model of the British Rail Class 47 diesel locomotive ‘The Queen Mother’’.  It is DCC ready and enabled as the model has already been chipped and is ready to go on Channel 3.  The model is in mint factory fresh condition and has been shelf stored since new.  It has never seen or been on a layout.  This rarely available CO-CO locomotive is finished in BR blue and with the correct, yellow warning panel ends and grey roof, is absolutely stunning.  The nameplate features silver writing of the locomotive name on a scarlet background and the BR logo is the small type. Only available for just a one-year period from 1981, this item was constructed in the modern manner.  This locomotive, numbered 47541, is just as good as the day it was first made and it would be impossible to obtain a better condition item.  We removed the model from the box for the digital scan and the model has all detailing exactly as it should be.  Glass windows, fully detailed cab interior and wired handrails are just 3 of the instantly recognizable features of the model and the locomotive is just a beautifully made evocative item.  The original box is in a bright, unfaded, sharp and intact condition with very minimal storage scuffs.  The right hand box end flap has the original white label with the correct model number and description.  Inside the box, the locomotive is protected in a white moulded polystyrene surround.  The original Hornby analogue maintenance and instructions sheet and DCC installation/programming instructions also remain with this item.  The whole thing is just as good and complete as you could ever hope to obtain and you will be unlikely to source a better condition item.

As all of our items are collectables and may have been stored for a long time, we would recommend that if the model is to be run, a light lubrication and dust removal would be appropriate ( where applicable ).
