Summer 2010
Hello again from all of us at Samicarken and summer is now finally & firmly with us.
This is traditionally the time when thoughts turn more to holiday then trains and the football from South Africa is another distraction to take into account. We have therefore decided to decrease our Ebay activities for the summer and increase the exposure of the shop until the end of August. This means that all of our stock will go directly into the shop as soon as it arrives and will not be offered for sale elsewhere. We therefore apologise for the present low levels of available items but this is being remedied as we speak. Several considerable collections are already being photographed and will appear in our shop over the coming weeks. Our web shop has only been open for a short time and is already generating over 200 hits per day. Unsurprisingly it doesn’t yet generate the worldwide exposure that Ebay can but for those customers who have already found us, we present an opportunity to buy without any hidden competition. If you have an immediate requirement for an item that you can’t see in the shop, please contact us without delay because if we have it, we love to sell items without even advertising them!
Good sellers over recent months have been train packs and multiple model collections. The Hornby triple A4 Wedgwood sets are always in demand and the Bachmann Commonwealth of Australia sets are not far behind. The Hornby APT’s are always sought after and a boxed R794 Train Pack is in preparation at the time of writing. All of the Stephenson’s Rocket sets have also flown out the door and all of these and more will be replaced by new arrivals over the coming weeks. In this way, that hard to find present for either yourself or a deserving recipient can immediately be yours. Just one email enquiry to us via the Samicarken site is all you need to do. Please therefore feel free to enquire without obligation if you need a specific unlisted item and you need it now!
We do have a good range of either large, heavy or valuable items available and if you wish to save money on postage costs, collection in person is always available. However please remember that we do not charge high street shop prices and therefore we do not offer an ‘in house browsing facility’ for casual callers.
Good luck with your search for that elusive item and even if we can’t help, we may know a man that can!
