Hornby R054 BR Inter City diesel shunter Piccadilly
This highly collectable model is the original Hornby R054 Class 08 Diesel shunter designated 0-6-0DS. This locomotive/model is in mint factory fresh condition and has been shelf stored since new. It has only been recently test run on a layout. This rarely available locomotive is finished in Inter City two-tone grey livery and with the black spoked wheels it is absolutely stunning. This item was constructed in the modern manner and was only available for 3 years from 1989. This model, numbered 08673 and named Piccadilly, is just as good as the day it was first made and it would be impossible to obtain a better condition item. We removed the model from the box for the digital scan and the model has all detailing exactly as it should be. Moulded handrails, black steps and chevron warning panel ends are just 3 of the instantly recognizable features of this item. The model is just a beautifully made evocative item. The original box is in a bright, unfaded and sharp intact condition and is correctly labelled for the contents inside. Inside the box, a white undamaged single piece moulded polystyrene surround protects the locomotive. The original operating/maintenance instructions numbered R054110692 remain with this item.
The whole item is just as good and complete as you could ever hope to obtain. This item predates modern digital control but should be an easy conversion to be DCC ready with the correct Hornby chip.
As all of our items are collectables and may have been stored for a long time, we would recommend that if the model is to be run, a light lubrication and dust removal would be appropriate ( where applicable ).
