Hornby R2539 BR Class 14XX 0-6-2T tank steam locomotive

This highly collectable and powerful item is the extremely hard to get hold of Hornby R2539 BR British Railways ex GWR Great Western Railways Class 14XX steam tank locomotive.  This item is in mint, factory fresh condition and is just as good as the day it was first despatched from the factory.  It has only been test run to ensure it works and has been stored in the box since new.  This rarely available 0-4-2T model is finished in BR all matt green livery with gold lettering.  Complete with the single tall chimney, red buffer beams and brass fitments, it is absolutely stunning.  Only available for a short period in 2006/2007 and never re-released since then, this item was constructed in the modern manner.  This locomotive, numbered 1464, is just as good as the day it was first made and it would be impossible to obtain a better condition item.  We removed the model from the box for the digital scan and the model has all detailing exactly as it should be.  Wired handrails, black multi spoked wheels and brass whistles are just 3 of the instantly recognizable features of this item.  The model is just a beautifully made evocative item.  The original Hornby box is in a bright, sharp, unfaded and fully intact condition.  The box is correctly labelled for the contents it protects.  Inside the box, the original undamaged and sculptured polystyrene surround protects the locomotive.  The monochrome protective display card that sits between the model and the clear undamaged acetate front of the box remains with this item.  The whole item is just as good and complete as you could ever hope to obtain and to complete the ensemble, the original instructions numbered R25391706 remain with the item.   This item is not DCC ready.
