Hornby R2303M BR Royal Scot Train Pack

This model is the Limited Edition Hornby Great British Train Pack numbered R2303M entitled ‘The Royal Scot’.  This Limited Edition individually certificated high quality Train pack contains the BR, ex LMS, Princess Coronation Class 4-6-2 steam locomotive ‘Princess Alexandra’ and 3 specially produced individually numbered BR Mark 1 coaches in their traditional blood and custard 1951 livery.  This set was a Limited Edition mail order only release in 2002 and is just one of many high quality Train packs we are offering on Ebay at this time.   The locomotive was never available as an individually boxed item so any Hornby collectors requiring one of these to complete their collection, would have to source it via this Train pack.  The coaches included are also individually numbered.  The 2 composite coaches are M4070M & M4071M.  The brake coach is numbered M5218M.  Each coach has a route board on either side of the grey roof and each one is fitted with a Hornby tension lock coupling at each end.  The locomotive itself features the instantly recognizable BR blue livery with the black smoke box, double white coach lines and brass whistles.  This set is in mint, factory fresh condition and all items are exactly the same as when they left the production line.  The items have never been removed from the box and the digipic has therefore been taken in such a way as to preserve this status.  The 6 wheel none corridor tender does not house the motor as this model is locomotive powered.   The models are supplied in all of the original boxes which are in a bright, sharp unfaded near mint condition.  The outer box is correctly labeled for the model it contains.  The original instructions numbered R2303M accompany this train pack and this item would be a fantastic addition to any serious collector’s portfolio of stock.  It is also supplied with the factory provided additional ‘Royal Scot’ individual certificate numbered 158 of just 1500 examples produced for Worldwide distribution.  In all respects you would do very well indeed to find a better finished and fully complete example.
