Hornby R375 LNER Class A3 Beatties Limited Edition Pretty Polly loco

This highly collectable model is the rare and is the extremely hard to get hold of Hornby R375 model of the LNER class A1/A3 pacific steam tender locomotive ‘Pretty Polly’.  This model never appeared in any of the main Hornby brochures as it was only produced as a Limited Edition model for the national model retailers ‘Beatties’.  This company is no longer with us so this item is both unique and unlikely to be repeated.  The model is in mint factory fresh condition and has been shelf stored since new.  It has never seen or been on a layout.  This rarely available 4-6-2 locomotive is finished in LNER green with the correct factory colour coded spoked wheels and it is absolutely stunning.  With a worldwide production run of just 1000 units in 1995, this item was constructed in the modern manner.  This locomotive, numbered 61, is just as good as the day it was first made and it would be impossible to obtain a better condition item.  We removed the model from the box for the digital scan and the model has all detailing exactly as it should be.  Wired handrails, white boiler bands and the banjo dome chimney are just 3 of the instantly recognizable features of this item and the model is just a beautifully made evocative item.  The 8-wheel none corridor tender is in just as mint condition and is clearly marked with the LNER icon.   It houses the motor and is fitted at the rear with the correct Hornby tension lock coupling. The original box is in a bright, unfaded and sharp condition with only minor storage markings.  Inside the box, a clear undamaged surround protects the locomotive and the original paperwork and instruction sheet numbered R37521795 remains with the model.  The original signed Limited Edition certificate numbered 361 remains with the model, as does the still sealed packet that contains the driver, fireman and super detailing accessories.
