Hornby R2179 LMS Coronation Class Duchess of Gloucester steam locomotive

This is the 2001 R2179 Hornby model of the LMS London Midland Scottish region Coronation Class 4-6-2 steam locomotive Duchess of Gloucester. It is finished in the LMS crimson livery with gold lettering and matching coach lines. It is factory fitted with the new 5 pole skew wound motor and features factory fitted wired handrails and single chimney. This is a locomotive drive locomotive with additional pick ups on the tender wheels for fine smooth running. The RN is 6225. The model is in its original Hornby box with the polystyrene protective surround, additional front pony bogie for tight radius curves, super detail pack, full length full colour protective display card and original instructions. The models are in mint, unrun, condition and the box is correctly labelled. This rare model just predates DCC but with a little skill, should be an easy conversion with the right Hornby chip.

Graham Farish 1814 BR Duchess Class King George V1 locomotive

Graham Farish 1814 BR Duchess Class King George V1 locomotive

Graham Farish 1814 BR Duchess Class King George V1 locomotive

This highly collectable model is the extremely hard to get hold of Graham Farish 1814 model of the BR, ex LMS, Duchess Class, pacific steam locomotive King George V1. The model is in mint factory fresh condition and has been shelf stored since new. It has never seen or been on a layout and has only been test run for demonstration purposes. This rarely available 4-6-2 locomotive is finished in BR green livery with the correct, black, multi spoked wheels. It is absolutely stunning. The RN is 46244 and the model was available from 1980 for just 2 years. The model is just a beautifully made evocative item and features the double chimney and wind deflectors. The 6-wheel none corridor tender is in just as mint condition and is clearly marked with the BR icon. It is fitted at the rear with the standard N gauge type coupling. The original box is in a bright, sharp, unfaded and correctly labelled condition. The left hand box end flap has the original yellow label with the correct model number and description. Inside the box, a cream coloured, vacuum formed, plastic surround protects the locomotive.
