Hornby R2016 Toplink BR Black Class 9F freight steam locomotive

This is the 1997 R2016 Hornby Toplink model of the British Rail Class 9F 2-10-0 steam locomotive. This is the freight version of the last ever steam locomotive built by BR and in the BR green livery, this locomotive would be the world famous Evening Star. Toplink is the name that Hornby gives to its top of the range highly detailed finish models and this item is no exception. It is finished in the BR all black livery and factory fitted with wired handrails and double chimney. This is a tender drive locomotive with the RN 92001. The model is in its original Hornby box with the polystyrene protective surround and original instructions. The models are in mint, unrun, condition and the box is correctly labelled. This rare model predates DCC but with a little skill, should be an easy conversion with the right Hornby chip.
