This is the 1979 R078 Hornby model of the GWR, Great Western Railway, King Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive King Edward 1. It is finished in the GWR green livery with gold lettering and scarlet coach lines. It features factory fitted wired handrails, brass dome and the trade mark copper double chimney. This is a tender powered model with additional pick ups on the locomotive wheels for fine smooth running. The RN is 6024. The model is in its original Hornby box with the inner polystyrene protective surround, full length full colour protective display card and original instructions. The models are in mint, unrun, condition and the box is correctly labelled. This model obviously predates DCC but with a little skill, should be an easy conversion with the right Hornby chip.
