This is the R2187 model launched by Hornby to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Evening Star inauguration in 1960. This is a heavy duty passenger and freight 2-10-0 locomotive and has the distinction of being the last BR steam locomotive ever introduced. The RN is 92220 and the model is finished in BR matt green livery. It was originally manufactured in 2000 for just 1 year. It is a very very rare model indeed. It is tender powered. The Model is in mint unrun condition and supplied in original correctly labelled box. It is complete with the original instructions & box band. This item predates DCC but should be an easy conversion with the correct Hornby chip.
